CEPLOK ARUM BALI SELING PARANG
“Ceplok” is one of the oldest geometric patterns in the history of batik. Most of Ceplok Pattern can be found on the statue in the decoration of Hindu / Buddhist temple with the form of squares, circles, animals, closed forms and oblique lines.
“Parang” is a traditional motif created by Panembahan Senopati - the First King of the Kingdom of Mataram - who was inspired by the waves during his meditation in Pantai Selatan. This motif symbolizes mankind’s fight against evil by controlling their desires as they grow wiser and nobility prevails.
