Ceplok Lung Boket Babon Angrem
Most of Ceplok Pattern can be found on the statue in the decoration of Hindu / Buddhist temple with the form of squares, circles, animals, closed forms and oblique lines.
“Boketan” is adapted from the word, bouquet. It is a popular coastal batik pattern with European influence. “Boketan” symbolizes beauty of life.
The “Semen” motif is one of the traditional batik motif that reflect the influence of Hindu-Buddhism in batik, which are developed during the time of the Kingdom of Mataram, circa 17th century. The motif features plants with prop roots which refers to spring time as a symbol of fertility, prosperity, and the universe.
