Liku Lokcan Banji

The influence of Chinese culture is also found in batik on the north coast of Central Java until today known as Lok Can. Lok Can is a bird brought by the Tartars army from China dynasty. Lok Can has a philosophical social meaning, which symbolizes virtue, achievement, and eternity.

 “Banji”, a lattice pattern which is an adaptation of the Buddha's teachings on the yin-yang or a symbol of harmony.
